Skiing & Snowboarding
You also get to experience freedom on the boards that mean the world in the family-friendly ski area of Rauris. With dreamy north-east facing slopes a paradise of deep snow opens up, one that is second to none. Whether you are a pro or a beginner, everyone will find what they are looking for in Rauris Valley.

Snow-shoe hiking
A signposted snow-shoe hiking route proceeds from Bodenhaus to the head of the valley in Kolm Saigurn. Guided snow-shoe hikes with a ranger from the National Park are offered twice a week during the season.
Tip: The free ‘Tälerbus’ (valley bus) takes you out and back again.

Ski tours
No matter what ski tour you choose to do in Rauris Valley, every ascent is well worthwhile! Far removed from the hustle and bustle and the fast pace of life, here in the Hohe Tauern National Park you get to enjoy a tranquillity which you only find in the mountains, superb views and fantastic ski runs.

Cross-country skiing
In Rauris Valley cross-country skiers get to enjoy heading out on 30 km of tracked cross-country slopes (950 to 1280 m altitude). The free Tälerbus from Rauris takes you conveniently to the altitude slopes from Bucheben up to Alpengasthof Bodenhaus and into Seidlwinkl valley.

Ice climbing
"Eisarena Kolm Saigurn" provides interesting routes for beginners and pros alike. At the Barbara Waterfall, the main waterfall in Kolm Saigurn, and 13 additional icefalls ice climbers also get to pay a visit to the icy routes like "Sag niemals nie", the "Blaue Hyäne", "Tabasco" and many more.

Winter hiking
35 km winter hiking trails are prepared for you in Rauris Valley in the winter. On the routes which proceed right through the valley, you might even come across fresh tracks left by wild animals here and there. In any event you get to enjoy tranquillity, fresh mountain air and impressive landscapes!

Tobogganing
Two toboggan runs in Rauris Valley provide genuine tobogganing fun for all the family. There is the natural toboggan run in Kolm Saigurn and the Kreuzboden toboggan run in the Rauriser Hochalmbahnen ski area, which is floodlit twice a week in the evenings.

Horse-drawn carriage rides
Horse-drawn carriage rides through the valley - romantic for adults and exciting for children. Enjoy the winter landscape of the Hohe Tauern National Park effortlessly in a horse-drawn carriage, under a cosy blanket.
