At the three gold panning sites Bodenhaus, Heimalm and Sportalm you pan (with instructions from professionals should you want) fine gold flakes from the water. You can even take these gleaming mementos of your summer holiday in the Hotel Freienwelt Kristall back home with you!
Hiking & Mountaineering
With over 295 km signposted hiking routes and Alpine paths in Rauris Valley and 70 km in Taxenbach, the region is one of the biggest and most variety-packed hiking areas in the Hohe Tauern National Park. There are leisurely hikes and challenging mountain tours – everything to suit your needs.
Road bike, Mountain bike & E-bike
The connection to the Tauernradweg and Pinzgau’s cycle network provides a bike tour to suit every taste and ability level. In the mountains around Rauris you will also find lots of mountain bike routes so you can enjoy a special active holiday.
Sonnblick outdoor pool
Spacious sun-lounging areas, a child-friendly swimming pool (24°C water temperature) and a superb view to the Hohe Sonnblick – you can enjoy relaxing days of swimming here. Particularly popular with children - the 51 m water slide and the play area.
X-FUN Outdoor Action
Just the ticket for those who have a thirst for adventure – daredevils move across the Jungle Bridge, five metres above the ground, with the "Flying Fox" or the "Giant Swing" in the high ropes garden near the Krumltal car park. X-FUN also provides plenty of other activities such as Bockerl, ...
Mini-golf
The well-tended 18-hole mini-golf facilities are located in the centre of Rauris and the facility is also illuminated in the evening. There is a playground, table tennis and a kiosk which has a terrace here.
